Monaghan Education Centre on the outskirts of Monaghan Town serves the school communities of Monaghan and Cavan. We also serve the schools of County Louth for I.C.T. purposes. Our geographical situation gives us an ideal opportunity to engage in Cross Border work, an opportunity that we have grasped enthusiastically. Reading Recovery was introduced to the Republic of Ireland in 2000 and was piloted in Monaghan. We are now National Administrative Centre for Reading Recovery in Ireland. We are also the National Administrative Centre for the Supervision of Guidance Counsellors.
