Limerick Education Support Centre / Ionad Tacaíochta Oideachais Luimnigh serves the school communities of Limerick city & county and parts of north Tipperary. The Centre provides local delivery of national programmes for teacher professional and personal development on behalf of the Department of Education. We also provide a varied and bespoke local programme of support, training and professional development for teachers, school management, parents and school community members, in response to identified needs.

Limerick Education Support Centre aims to continue as a Centre of Excellence, in meeting the personal & professional learning needs of all those working in our primary and post-primary schools, in our catchment area. We will achieve this by responding to learner, school and system requirements through the provision of high-quality learning opportunities.

Limerick Education Support Centre is the regional base for the provision of supports for teachers in Reading Recovery. It is also the administrative base for Oide Post-Primary Sciences.
